Soccer - The Game to Admire
The game is played with the solo spherical ball. Twenty players chasing the single ball and two players defending the ball of the opponent team at goal post know as goal keepers. The other popular name for the soccer is "football". Since Soccer is a team game it brings the skills of team management. The game is played between two teams where each time has ten players and one goal keeper so the count is eleven players. It is one of the most popular games played around the world.
It is an outdoor game where the play is performed on a rectangular grass or in the artificial turf field where the goal post are placed each at the center of the short ends. Players are required to drive in the ball at the opposing team goal post in order to score the points.
Other than the goalkeepers no other player in the field is allowed to use their hands or arms to drive the ball. Rest Players have to kick off the ball by their feet. Only during the penalties or when the ball is moved off the ground the players are allowed to touch the ball to keep at the particular point and then to kick the ball.
The game Soccer is played with the set of rules and regulations which has to be followed by every player in the ground. There are totally seventeen 'laws of the game' which are framed for all level of the game. Some changes are permitted for groups such as junior level, senior level, physically challenged and for women.
The length measured for the ground shall be 200 yards which is maximum length and the maximum width shall be 100 yards. A toss is done between the two players with the help of referee and the team who wins the toss commences the play.
Players should try their best in pushing off the ball to the goal. A Player is entitled to pass the ball to his other team mates and also have to defend the ball of the opponent team. The ball should not be thrown nor be knocked on and not to be carried. Free kicks and penalty kicks are offered to the players when any of the opponent team player makes a fair catch. During the play players have no right to touch the ball or take the ball from the ground.
Players are not allowed to wear any shoe which has iron plates or it consist of projecting nails on the sole or heels of his shoes. The match is guided by the referee and any of decision taken by him is final and it cannot be opposed by any of the players.
Fouls, off sides, free kicks, penalty kicks, starting and restarting play, goal kick, corner kick, and tie breaking are the major decision taken by the referee for the each team during the play. The duration of the soccer game is fixed and any change in the duration depends on the level of the game being played.

Steps to Better Sleep
We can say that, these days one of the biggest health problems with people all around the globe is lack of good sleep. Not enough sleep can result with stress, tiredness and in many cases with development of diseases. With few little steps, you can prevent insomnia and finally get a good night sleep.
First thing is that you have to throw out your TV from a bedroom. Use your bedroom only for sleeping. Even if you watch something nice and easy on TV, and you think that that will comfort you and make you sleepy, your brain is working in full speed in background, trying to process all images that you watching on TV. And, you actually need to slow down your brain. So, TV out of the bedroom.
Many researches show that humans have sleeping patterns. So, that is why you need to go to sleep in about same time each night. When your body and mind need some rest, then you should give it to them. Try to make a schedule and stick to that.
Try not to drink coffee and alcohol at least three hours before sleep. Caffeine and alcohol prevent your body to fall in to deep sleep, where you getting your rest, and sometimes it even prevent you to fall a sleep at all.
If you eat a lot of hard food, especially junk food, before sleep, it's not going to help you with your sleep. It will also prevent your body to fall into a deep sleep, and sometimes you will have bad dreams during the night, and we all know that if you dreaming bad dreams, you are more tired when you wake up in the morning, then you were in the evening before sleep.
Sportsmanship Must Be Taught by Parents
I am horrified to share what I recently witnessed at a high school junior varsity soccer game. Within the first few minutes of the game, a member of my son's team caused a penalty and the ref awarded the opposing team an indirect kick. Despite getting that call, that coach felt his team should have received a penalty kick, not merely an indirect kick. He loudly voiced his displeasure.
Not surprisingly, the ref gave the coach a yellow card. Undeterred, the coach continued to berate the ref, and then began making his comments personal. He was loud, obnoxious, and completely out of control. Like the energizer bunny, he was on an unstoppable roll.
Again, not surprisingly, the ref gave him a red card, which meant he had to leave the game. With that, he pulled his team off the field and forfeited the game. Though he had no assistant coach, I believe the ref told him he could get a parent to fill in, though I'm not positive about that. I'm not sure it mattered. It seemed he chose to make this his personal stand and took his players with him.
There are so many things wrong with this incident, that I can barely decide where to begin. This was a junior varsity high school soccer game. While that is clearly important to the kids who play and to their parents who drove the half hour to the hosting school, in the scheme of life it is pretty insignificant. It wasn't brain surgery. The coach clearly needs some anger management, and it's hard for me to imagine how his school's Athletic Director will allow him to continue coaching. My understanding is that he pulled a similar stunt last year.
Coaches, like teachers, are there to help instill values in our kids. Athletic events provide a wonderful opportunity to teach kids the value of competition and sportsmanship. Maybe the coach had a legitimate gripe and should have gotten the call he sought. But his utter disrespect for the refs, his team, the opposing team and all the parents who witnessed his outrageous behavior, certainly wasn't the appropriate way to handle disappointment with a call.
What made the situation even more depressing was the support a couple of the parents gave the coach. They applauded his actions and were proud the coach stuck up for his team. That certainly wasn't the way I saw it. To me, standing up for your team means teaching these young men that you don't always get the call you seek in life. Sometimes things don't go your way, fairly or unfairly. It would have been a far greater lesson to pull the team together and encourage them to prove their point through strong play. It is likely that they would have scored the goal on the penalty, which meant they'd have been in the lead. Instead, everyone ended up as losers.
I urge parents to teach your children good sportsmanship. They will have many knocks in life when things don't go their way, and it will likely be about something way more important than a soccer game. It is your job to teach them to handle these disappointments appropriately, so they can work through them in the most positive way possible.
I am not sure how this coach can look himself in the mirror. What did he gain by his brutish behavior? Certainly not respect from his players. These athletes worked hard to make this team and they deserved far better. As parents, it is our responsibility to teach our children good sportsmanship. Sadly, we can't always depend on their coaches to provide this important life lesson.

The Economics of Cloning Armies or Super Families
Let's put the religious part of the debate for a moment, there will be time for that later. Currently there is much ethics debate from many different religious beliefs about cloning in both the scientific communities and the church. Enough in fact that the US Senate and Congress have already made a law against human cloning. This law effects US citizens and it is expected that future laws will be sanctioned and conditions enforced through trade agreements for all civilized and industrialized nations against cloning. Literally a world wide ban. However this does not mean that cloning will not exist in the future as we already see groups claiming the first human clone and others following suit. So for the sake of debate, and at the World Think Tank, all topics are to be discussed, worked out, all sides heard and all concepts evaluated. Below is such a cost study, which seems to indicate that cloning is not a profitable from a pure economic standpoint as one might think. Here are some real numbers thrown out to shed some light on the subject of the economic viability of human cloning.
I offer no solution to the problem only to study costs associated with the much debated subject of cloning. Now then put yourself in the driver's seat and let's begin.
If you wanted to have 20 clones of yourself, there will be a huge investment on your part. The cost to raise them until age 16 provided you ran the household like a business would be approximately $500 per month minimum until age 6, then $700 per month each until age 12, then $900 per month until age 16. This would include all the necessary things that you had while growing up; Cub Scouts, soccer shoes, little league, bicycle, after school activities so they arrive at age 16 with the proper social norms, strength of character and development necessary. This would not include schooling, which we assume would be paid by the state. However if you had 20 clones this is an overburden on society and there would surely be a law against that sometime in the future. In other words if the cloning was allowed and you were responsible for the costs, you would be responsible to subsidize for the extra units you brought into society. If you home schooled, then you would need a tutor or several, perhaps a coach and some extra educational or vocational training and we are assuming the need to clone on a massive level was for a business purpose. So the ROI would be considered within the costs.
Now let's go over the costs above. 20 clones at $500.00 per month is $10,000 per month. Six years of this would be 72 months or $720,000.00, so then now you have 20 of "you" at age six and your job is hardly over indeed. Now then to take those kids to age twelve will cost you even more, another 72 months but at the rate of $700.00 per month or $14,000 per month, multiplied times 6 years is 1 million eighty thousand dollars. The last four years would be crucial to the development of strong, smart and worthy home grown leaders therefore you would spend about $900 per month per teen times 20 teens is $18,000 per month. Forty-eight additional months is going to cost you $864,000. So to get 20 clones to age 16 will cost you $2,592,000.00 in today's dollars, yet we all know about inflation and it's real costs. Now then to hire the help of in-house tutors, baby-sitters and instructors and of course mentors, coaches and teachers you are going to need a staff of no less than 3 people at an average of $35,000 per year for each for the first 6 years of cloning. 4 people for the next 10 years and better trained people with skills as well, for instance being able to teach physics, calculus, trigonometry, World history, sports skills also since these young people are you, you will want the best and perhaps up the ante or have special guests come in such as famous basket ball, football, baseball, golf, athletes or coaches for first class training in tactics, skill, finesse and sportsmanship and of course winning. How to win is what you are looking for.
This means about $55,000 times four staff members are needed. So let's add in $100,000 per year for specialists to give them a first class leg up on the world. Now we have staff costs of $210,000 for the first six years per each staff member times three, which is $630,000. The next ten years staff costs are $2,200,000.00 plus special seminars and sports camps of 1 million. So training these clones and nurturing them costs you $3,200,000 minimum without inflation plus the $2,592,000 for food shelter, clothing, bicycles, sports gear, Nikes, etc which is $5,792,000.00 which in today's money is considered a large cost. With proper tutoring at age sixteen they should be ready to accelerate to college level if you have done everything right. Four years of maximum study, five at most and they should be ready to run the family businesses. Each clone is costing you $289,600.00 even with the economies of scale of a huge group effort.
Let's talk about mortality rates shall we. Currently the odds of getting a clone to age sixteen are almost nil as the negative aspects of aging are greatly exaggerated and therefore presently it is unlikely that any would reach age sixteen. Birth mortality rate is about 1/16 or so now, so you might have 21 or 22 to make sure 20 survived birth. Currently the birth mortality rate of cloning is probably more like 20:1, which means to get 20 you have to try 400 times. But after you have twenty born you still have other issues with infant death syndrome, disease, etc, which means you may need a few more to make sure you get to 20. if they are like you they will most likely do things like ride motorcycles, jump bicycles off jumps and generally do things which are dangerous and we have all had close friends growing up who did not make it. If you add in 3 extra clones assuming that all these issues of cloning and deaths is figured out in the future then you add $289,600 times three or $868,800.
With all these high costs, it seems cloning may not be such a good idea after all and perhaps it might be better for you to simply get married or adopt and split the costs with your spouse or significant other.

Is Technology Ruining Golf?

When is too much too much? Scoring isn't everything. Is it? In the US, Soccer is put down because scoring can be non-existent thus boring, baseball is too slow and instant replay isn't instant enough in football. Golf on the other hand "must" have birdies or else it isn't exciting and fans won't show up at tournaments. Enough! This Sunday at The Greenbrier Classic in White Sulfur Springs, W. Va., Stewart Appleby was 11 under par on the par 70 "The Old White" course shooting the 5th ever 59 on the PGA Tour in it's history. This week a 17 year old high school student, Bobby Wyatt had an amazing 57 in the Alabama Golf Association State Boys Championship on the Country Club of Mobile, Alabama a par 71 course, playing 6,643 yards. That's 14 under par! Enough! Something must be done! The ball is going to far and courses are running out of room and money to expand.
Back to The Greenbrier Classic. On Sunday 77 golfers played the 4th and final round of the tournament. Eight were over par, six were even par and fifty one were under par. The par 5, 12th measuring 568 yards gave up only two bogeys and one other. The hole played to 4.286, hardly a difficult par 4 if it were in one of the major tournaments. The most difficult hole was the par 3 15th. It played 3.091 to par with 12 bogeys and one other. Just not that difficult.
Scoring is down, no doubt about that. The better the player the more club and ball technology means to the golfer in distance and accuracy. Also there's much better player fitness and better course conditions no wonder scoring is substantially down. But the most critical issue in keeping the scoring low and the patrons watching from the galleries and television is money. Golf is a multi-billion dollar industry and the PGA is unwilling to change it's position, keeping it's eye on the bank account. Forcing manufactures to limit the distance the ball flies takes money out of their bank accounts and the implied advertising advantage over their competitors.
Changes to the ball have been suggested, but that means all balls are the same. No competition. Same is true of shafts and clubs. I'm inclined to believe that reducing the sweet spot on the club face in relationship to the year-end final average score and/or the distance each club can achieve, might be a better answer. The USGA and R&A would have to determine what the optimum distance each club could attain, determine the sweet spot dimensions to limit distance by shrinking the area of maximum distance. Doing so allows the manufacturers to continue with their advancements in design, keeping scores reasonable and courses financially secure and out of bankruptcy.

Soccer Shoes Or Boots Are Important In Protecting You From Injury
Wearing The Proper Soccer Shoes Will Prevent Injury
When you play soccer, or any sport, you must ensure that you are wearing the proper footwear so that you do not injure yourself. Now, if you are playing in gym class, or in a situation where you are on a hardwood surface, any non slip gym shoe will do. However, soccer shoes are meant to be played on a grassy field. That means they have to be specially made not to slip on the grass so that the player does not get injured. For that reason, soccer shoes are made with cleats, or pointy metal barbs on the bottom, that are designed to dig into the grass, thus giving the player speed but they also prevent the player from slipping so that they do not get injured. When playing with cleats, though, you need to be careful that you don't injure other players. With all that kicking at the ball, injuries can happen but with certain precautions you can play safely and have fun.
Dig In
Soccer shoes are built with cleats that are meant to dig into the field. This allows the player to gain traction where they normally would not have any. They can also pivot easier, which allows them to get past other players as they move for the goal. If they did not have cleats, they would slip and fall, especially if the grass was wet, and they would not be able to get around other players as much. That's why soccer players can't just wear any shoes if they hope to avoid injury and play well, they must wear proper soccer shoes with cleats designed to dig into the grass and dirt.
Avoiding Injury
Because soccer shoes have cleats, the possibility for injury is greater. If you've ever watched a group of soccer players vie for the ball, you probably saw them standing around the ball kicking at it. This brings those cleats awfully close to other players' shins, which can cause bruising, cuts or even breaks. For that reason, you have to be careful when wearing soccer shoes. Keep your feet on the ground or on the ball but keep them away from other players' shins so that everyone can stay injury free.
You can find soccer shoes at any sporting goods store or even on the internet. Just remember that if you're playing with friends in a fun, friendly game, regular tennis shoes should do the trick. If you're playing on an actual team, competitively, then you want to get real soccer shoes to prevent injury and so that you can play at your best.

There is a wide array of shoes for women to purchase online. There are bottom of the barrel, cheap shoes that will cost you $30 and are made in China. Then, there are the shoes that costs hundreds of dollars and are made in Italy. These 2 factors do not totally define an absolute line between junk and quality, but they are very telling indicators. User reviews are a great way to get a feel for the quality of a shoes from a company based on facts such as where they were made, price and most importantly, user reviews. Shoes that have a high amount of feedback and consistently have a 3 stars or higher average usually indicates that they are favorable shoes. You must also take the price and quality factor into consideration. If a brand or type/model of shoe tends to consistently run too large, too small or too narrow or wide, users will consistently report this in their reviews. One will generally find that if something is consistently wrong with a type of shoe or it is flawed in some way by design that people will generally complain about it in mass rather than the occasional bad review or gripe. It is up to the shopper if the flaw will apply to them, be bearable or if they should go onto the next pair of shoes. On the flip side, lots of user reviews can highlight the pros of a shoes and can make a purchasing decision that much more clear.
Many popular commerce websites like Amazon.com and more specifically, Zappos.com are excellent resources for user reviews of shoes. In short, always look for more than just a mere editorial review of shoes or any product and make sure the product has had some time out on the market to stand the test of time and usage. Consumers get tried and true reviews tested by shoppers that were in their places before making a purchase and giving an informed review.

Teaching Your Kids Money Management - How Much is Enough?
This article is preceded by some starting points that lead up to determining how much is enough and finishes with other points that introduce you to what to do next. All of these points are covered in other articles.
Start As Early As Possible: It is never too late to start this. We work with adults that have money management challenges and use these same basic concepts to help them overcome the stress and burden. I will say, the sooner you start the easier it is and more likely to be successful.
Change the Way They View Money: until a person realizes what money is, a tool to be used for your benefit or detriment, they will have a difficult time managing it. If your child believes money comes in benevolent packages from you and there is an endless supply, it's likely you both will be frustrated and broke.
Get Rid of Allowances: Allowances teach a free gratis mentality. They get something for nothing. They get money just because they exist. Having this attitude as an adult can make for a very discouraging and difficult life.
How Much is Enough: This is where age and ability really come into play. Think of the things you are already purchasing for your child. A short list might be: Their current allowance, clothes, food, snacks, candy or treats while at the store, school lunches, activity fees, books, school supplies, entertainment items, toys, (big and small), gifts for others, charitable giving, etc. Then decide if he or she is old enough to make good decisions related to these various items. Obviously you wouldn't want to have a six year old be responsible for any of these beyond treats at the store, smaller toy purchases or charitable giving. As they get older you adjust the list accordingly.
By the time our son was in high school, he was responsibly managing the purchase of his car and all of the associated costs, including his portion of the insurance; the purchase of all of his clothes; all of his entertainment expenses; the purchase of his school lunches; and just about everything else he needed to make it through life as a teenager.
Initially, this seems like a lot of money. And it is. But, if it is money you would already be spending on them, you're really not out anything. The key is to break them in easy and as early as possible so they will be ready for a list like our son's by the time they reach high school. We did not start him on any of this until he was around eleven and it still worked out for him and us quite nicely.
The reason we waited so long is we hadn't really thought about it until we were looking at soccer shoes for him one day and he went right after the ones that cost 120 dollars. The pair next to them seemed to be just as nice, but only cost 70 dollars. When we asked him the difference, he really couldn't say other than the brand. That caused us to realize we needed to help him understand why he was making the choices he was.
We began this journey together and it has worked out really well. I won't say he has always gotten it just right, but I will say he has done it right far more often than not. We began by explaining what we were going to be doing and why. We then challenged him to come up with a number he thought he would need to take care of some basics, like school lunches, sports and activities fees (he played three sports), how much for charitable contributions, what about entertainment, any long range expenses, and additional savings required. My husband and I did the same and then we came back together and began the negotiations. We were actually quite surprised at his insight to the cost of these various categories.
Once we decided on the basic amount we did the same thing with his household responsibilities. When it was all complete, we put the whole package in writing.
We then helped him figure out how to set up a spending plan so he would have the money when he needed it for the things he needed.
I won't say it always went as planned but it was surprising how much easier it was to get him to do things around the house. And we did have to revisit and adjust some of the initial numbers, but all in all we were pretty close.
The idea is to give them just a little less than what you think they need. This will compel them, just like you, to choose between purchasing one thing over another. Don't set them up to fail, but it's good if they make a few mistakes along the way.
Keep in mind this will work for virtually any income amount. For some it will be easier than others, but it can work. You definitely don't want to put more on the table than what you are currently spending on them today. In fact, you will definitely want to keep some back in case they are not ready for the responsibility of managing what you entrust to them. Do let them make mistakes and fail.
Establish a Spending Plan: This will definitely need to be age dependent and based on your child's ability to manage it; the younger the child the more basic the plan. The range would be from a very basic spending plan of savings, general spending on the day to day items, and charitable giving all the way up to a more complex plan for an older teenager. Rework and adjust the plan as they become ready and the as the need arises.
Let Them Manage It: As you allow them to manage "their" money you will be amazed at the change in their attitude toward money. Depending on the child, when they realize there is a limited supply and they are in control of what they have you will see a myriad of reactions and responses.
You Must Be Able to Say, "No": If they make a mistake it is OK, let it happen. For some parents, it is really difficult to watch it happen and not want to bail them out. You need to be able to say no and let them grow. If you can't say no how can you expect them to be able to resist the impulse when it presents.
Savings Will Save Them from Disaster: The thing that wipes most people out in the area of managing their money is not including savings in their spending plan. Teach them to be prepared for at least the basic unknowns and to have a plan for those know future expenses.
Giving It Away Will Help Them Grow: By giving some of their time, energy, and money to help others your children will learn an invaluable life lesson: There are circumstances in the world that are bigger than they. By helping others they can be a part of solving it and making a real difference.
It is OK to Talk About Money: You know your child and what they are ready for. Talk to them at their level of understanding regarding some of the more general expenses you deal with and how you handle them. Ask them for their opinion, they will appreciate that you value them enough to ask.
Tell Them About Your Choices: Share with them, at an age appropriate level some of the mistakes you made and how you learned from it. Do the same for things you got right and why you chose to go that path. They will grow from it and hopefully not repeat your errors.
Teach Them About Compounded Interest: This can work against them or for them depending on the choices they make. Borrowed money makes them a slave to the lender.
Don't Give Up and Don't Give In: No matter the argument - the longer you wait to begin this process the more likely you are to get one - you and your spouse need to be united as a single front. Even if you both don't agree, have the discussion away from the kids and come back as one. Do not let your kids divide and conquer. At times it is going to be difficult, but if you stand firm today, your kids will stand strong tomorrow.
